Hydrology & Hydraulic Services
Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) utilizes strong technical capabilities to provide efficient and innovative drainage solutions to meet public “FEMA” and private sector client needs across Texas. Our work involves preparing watershed master drainage plans, LOMR, CLOMR, impact analyses, floodplain impacts and mitigation plans, and design and construction plans for detention ponds and channel improvement projects. We employ expertise at the appropriate level of analysis, whether it’s an evaluation or state-of-the-art 2 D modeling, to get projects approved and constructed. Our hydrology services include, but are not limited to:
Our Hydrology Services
LOMR & CLOMR (FEMA)
A letter of Map Revision (LOMR) is the Federal Emergency Managements Agency’s (FEMA) official modification to an effective Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). Our engineers are certified to ensure a successful submittal every time.
FLOOD STUDY
Providing detailed information on the nature of the flood risk including the distribution, extent, levels, and velocity of flood waters.
DRAINAGE REPORTS
A full report that includes engineering standards and procedures for use in the evaluation of drainage condition associated with land development.
DRAINAGE CALCULATIONS
Analysis of water run-off essential to attenuate flow for correct drainage solutions during land development.
STORM WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION PLANS
A site specific written document fundamental requirement of storm water permits. Practices to help reduce pollutants in storm water discharges from the construction site.
DETENTION & WATER QUALITY POND
Storm-water basin design to include detention and retention is crucial for storm water management and also for protection against flooding by controlling flood flow during the event of a storm.
